    Description

    This old Martin trumpet has been very well taken care of. Pretty sure the star above the serial number indicates that this trumpet is indeed a custom made trumpet. I'm not sure why theres tape on the lead pipe but I had it checked out by a professional and it plays PERFECTLY!! The bell is 5-1/2". My horn technician explained that it is a step bore trumpet.  The v.c #2 slide measures .457 & main t.s. tube is .4595. The sizes are the inner tube sizes. The slide and valve move freely. This was a custom made trumpet by Martin for a professional player. I believe it was made in 1960 or 61. My horn technician was very impressed by this trumpet and said he had never seen one like it before. He did say he believes it was real lacquered at one point. It will be packaged with great care.
