Do me a favor please and READ THE ENTIRE description -
always. I do my darn best. I attach MANY detailed pictures, inside, outside, sideways, etc. on my hand, with the scale, with the measuring tape etc. All gold is tested, all information imparted is factual. I don't sugar coat anything, I don't change or enlarge pictures but tell it how it is.
Do NOT leave undeserved feedback
because YOU
glanced over the details or imagined something different (smaller, bigger, heavier, lighter etc.)
I had a retail store for many years which is closed due to Cov*d and I am selling my inventory online. I am ALWAYS ready to answer any and all questions, take more pictures or help you with your decision in any way I can.
VERY OLD ca 1870 - 1880 Victorian Desk / Hand seal with Initial M
- Military figure - I believe it is Napoleon Bonaparte OR Nelson (I am not an expert in military figures)
- Large
desk or hand wax
seal (see ALL pictures) (no precious metals)
- Material is either brass or bronze - I am not sure (I found another listing and it said bronze)
- Bottom shows an "M" as an initial / monogram
- Has gained
patina
(that's what 141 years do to you..) and was previously cleaned (NOT by me) with a solution that left a residue (see close ups) - this is easily remedied (however, I do not clean antiques but rather leave them as I found them)
- Very nice carving - expressive face. In Victorian times, this item would have belonged to a wealthy person used to seal letters.
- This is a wonderful very collectable item.

Size
approx.
7 centimeters high  x 2 centimeters wide (at the bottom at its widest)  or 2.76 inches x 0.79 inches
-Weighs
approx.
60.4 grams (see scale) (HEAVY)
Weight and measurements are always
approximate
and taken to the best of my abilities.
PLEASE CHECK PICTURES FOR SCALE AND SIZE:
-  on the measuring tape (inches), in my hands (I am female). Compare the stated measurements and the weight to a charm you own.
I am very precise but I cannot be blamed if you don't read!
PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF G_D
(or whatever is holy to you):  (and I am not exaggerating this happens OVER AND OVER AND OVER: YOU, the bidder,
'FORGETTING'
TO READ the measurements cannot and is NOT my fault but YOURS (not is it a reason for a return). If you cannot visualize 1 centimeter then I urge you to take out a measuring tape and check for yourself.
