Large German Solid Silver Center Piece Bowl Wilkens 6 ¼” high, 16.4oz
Presented is a great large pedestal centerpiece bowl or compote with a fine raised beading around rim and base. This great bowl has an excellent scalloped motif shape around the edge and a gentle shallow concave bowl above a graceful curved pedestal base. It is marked for Wilkens silver made in Germany 800 fine; American standard sterling silver is 925 fine, so there is slightly less silver in this alloy.
It is a beautiful bowl with only a few dings, a minor dent, some hard to polish areas. It is a great addition to almost any décor or table setting.
