Classical c1900-1925 Watson Sterling Silver Basket Vase

Description

Presented is a lovely Watson sterling silver tall basket form vase. This
piece dates to the first quarter of the 1900s. The vase is done in a classic
octagonal paneled form, with a pierced openwork rim and tall handle. The vase is
adorned with hand engraved foliate designs, urn medallions, and scrolled
acanthus leaves on the handle. The base is weighted for stability.
The vase is in great condition. There are no splits, no dents, no monograms,
no monogram removals, and no repairs.
The underside is stamped with the Watson maker's mark as well as
sterling.
The vase stands about 19 1/2 inches tall.
This piece weighs 1066 grams or 37.6 regular ounces. Considering the
weighting in the base, not all of this weight is sterling silver, but the vast
majority of it is silver.
