    Description

    A wonderful antique English desk seal. Dating from the Victorian period, it's 3 inches tall and made from a single solid piece of natural citrine, hand carved, shaped and cut with utmost precision. Its seal base is as yet unengraved, there are jewellers who can engrave this for you if you're interested. It dates from around 1880 and is in excellent condition throughout, with one or two very small areas of nibbling to the tips of the crenellations to the handle. It weighs 74.4 grams, measures 3 inches tall, and its base is 23 x 19 mm. The final photo shows it with a US penny (1 cent) coin for scale, which measures 19 mm / ¾ of an inch diameter.
