Antique Defiance Self Inker Signature Hand Rubber Stamp Machine Pat. Aug. 7 1900

Description

This self inking hand stamp by Defiance has the signature “K.A. Brinkley” in large letters.
It also has the original stamp pad although it has hardened some with age.
The device is 7 ¼” tall and 3” wide at the base.
The handle is wood.
It is in excellent mechanical condition and the finish shows very minor patina.
It was possibly manufactured by the Defiance Check Protector Corp. of Rochester, N.Y. who was a prominent maker of office devices during the first couple of decades of the 1900’s.
