a sturdy, antique, 19th century wax seal stamp,
with the coat of arms of the Dutch family
Bruinier
probably of
Jeremias Jose Louis Bruinier
(1843-1899),
who served in the Dutch military forces as officer / captain,
he married in 1868 with Maria Helena Ditmars van Dam (1840-1895)
but perhaps this stamp can also be linked to:
Gerrit Jacob Bruinier
(1782-1870 ?), who seems to have served at the Garde D' Honneur de Napoleon,
the information on Gerrit Jacob Bruinier is not very clear to us, he married Arnoldina Stolzen around 1804,
other military Bruinier 's were: Christiaan Philip Gerard Jacob Bruinier and Louis Bruinier
Bruinier coat of arms:
on the shield two lions rampling, both holding a knight's lance with small flag / pennon, topped with a full face and barred helmet, as crest again a lance with pennon,
aside the shield military / infantry attributes: flags, banners, swords, drum, cannon
made of wood and bronze
an old crack and some dents in the wood, but firm, stamp probably re-attached
an old tag on top with text:
